A focuser drive dedicated for WO RedCat 51. With elegant structure, high resolution, and perfect integration, your RedCat 51 is upgraded to a powerful weapon for automatic astronomy observation.

Outstanding Design

AiryFD R51 is made of robust aluminum alloy and CNC machining. It upgrades your RedCat 51 to a whole new observation level with a continuous variable speed control. Even so, we still keep some of the convenient functions of RedCat 51! Invertible dew shield, Cat saddle bar installation, and maintaining the mechanism height are some examples. A Picatinny Rail is also included to make more possibilities happen!

EAF Control Box

With the ZWO EAF control box, you can directly control it with your ASIAIR to perform automatic and precise focusing.

The resolution of this combination is 40000 steps/rev., convert it into focusing distance is RedCat51 - 4375 steps/mm, RedCat51 II - 3300 steps/mm, and the total travel is RedCat51 -  131250 steps, RedCat51 II - 115000 steps. It's 4 times the resolution of the AiryFD R51 EAF Basic version.

Automatic Observation

AiryFD R51 is fully compatible with ASCOM platform. The driver can be downloaded at the official site of ASCOM (www.ascom-standards.org). Therefore, R51 can be used in most mainstream astronomy observation software such as N.I.N.A., MaxIm DL, SharpCap, FireCapture, and much more, to approach automatic observations.
